Hi there! I’m really excited to unveil a new, fun feature of the National Food Days in NYC blog! Since this website is all about finding the best places in New York City to celebrate each and every national food holiday, I’ve created a Google Map for every restaurant on the list! It’s a handy way to find all the restaurants, bakeries, and specialty shops I highlight in each post. Click on each marker to find the name and address of the restaurant, and what national food holiday you’ve just gotto celebrate there! It’s the perfect tool for the New York epicure on the move, or for the adventurous among us looking for a good foodie marathon 😀
You can find the map embedded below, or head to this link for the full-page view!
National Food Days In New York City–Mapped!
I’ll be updating the maps regularly with each day’s new holiday, so check back often!
You’re making me homesick! Spumoni, Italian Ices, Pizza, New York Cheesecake, Eclairs….what are you doing to me?I hope New Yorkers appreciate these things because if/when they move away like I did many years ago, they shouldn’t expect to find the same foods elsewhere and will feel deprived!
Thank you! I sure miss them myself! I’m born & raised in Brooklyn but I’ve moved across the river to NJ for work. I’m amazed by the amount of foods that are so readily available (and delicious!) in Brooklyn that I have to drive hours for in NJ, if I find them at all. It’s why we always get takeout whenever I am visiting my parents–gotta get that great NYC cuisine when I can!
